Milos Uzan To Return To Houston After Testing NBA Draft Waters
Oklahoma transfer guard Milos Uzan is set to play his first season with the Houston Cougars after competing in the NBA Draft Combine, per Jon Rothstein.
The junior joins the Cougars after playing two seasons in Norman with career averages of 8.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.7 assists. He ranked 94th in the country last season in assists per game with 4.4.
He was listed as a four-star prospect out of high school and ranked No. 66 in the Class of 2022 before committing to Oklahoma.
With All-American Jamal Shead staying in the NBA Draft, Head Coach Kelvin Sampson needed to find a guard in the portal with experience to help the Cougars defend its crown of the Big 12 regular season champions.
Uzan showed his ability to score the basketball in several games last season with 14 double-digit performances for the Sooners. He is also a very good facilitator, dishing out seven or more assists in seven outings last season. The 6-foot-4 guard finished with a season-high 10 assists in a loss to TCU on Jan. 10.
The Cougars finished the 2023-24 season with a 32-5 record before losing to the Duke Blue Devils in the Elite 8 round during the NCAA March Madness Tournament.
