Former La Salle Guard Khalil Brantley Commits to Oklahoma State

After a disappointing 12-20 finish to the 2023-24 season, the Oklahoma State Cowboys have been very active in the transfer portal.
Khalil Brantley has committed to the Cowboys for his senior year after three seasons with La Salle, per Jon Rothstein. He led the Explorers in points per game the past two seasons with 14.3 (2022-23) and 15.0 (2023-24).
He was one of seven players in college basketball last season to put up at least 15 points, five rebounds, four assists, and 1.5 steals per contest.
He was one of the best scorers remaining in the transfer portal, reaching 20 or more points in seven outings last year. The 6-foot-1 guard set a career-high of 30 points in a win over Southern Indiana on Nov. 18, 2023. Brantley showed his ability to knock down three-pointers, sinking in 47 last year, upping his career-total to 100.
On April 1st, Steve Lutz was introduced as Head Coach of the Cowboys after coaching at Western Kentucky. The first-year head coach has secured several commitments in the portal including Arturo Dean (FIU), Robert Jennings (Texas Tech), Marchelus Avery (UCF), Davonte Davis (Arkansas), Brandon Newman (Western Kentucky), and Abou Ousmane (Xavier).
Twelve wins is the Cowboys’ lowest in a season since 2018-19.
