Former Arizona State DE B.J. Green Transfers to Colorado

NCAA Football: Arizona at Colorado

Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes brought a new player to Boulder ahead of the 2024 season with the addition of former Arizona State defensive end B.J. Green.

Green originally announced his decision to commit to Washington in the transfer portal, but after Kalen DeBore left to succeed Nick Saban at Alabama, Green decided to flip his commitment to Colorado.

Green was a big part of Arizona State’s defense in 2023 totaling 39 tackles, six sacks, and one forced fumble. Green spent three seasons in Tempe with the Sun Devils and recorded a total of 60 tackles, 13.5 sacks, and one forced fumble.

Coming out of high school, Green was listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and checked in as the nation’s 2089th-ranked prospect. He was also listed as the 238th-ranked linebacker in his class and the 190th-ranked player in the state of Georgia.

Green becomes the Buffaloes’ 21st addition in the transfer portal this offseason joining Pittsburgh’s Samuel Okunlola, LSU’s Quency Wiggins, Vanderbilt’s Will Sheppard, and more.

While the college football season is still the better part of eight months away, Deion Sanders’ squad kicks off their 2024 season on Saturday, August 31st against the North Dakota State Bison.
