Cincinnati Lands Butler Transfer G Simas Lukosius

NCAA Basketball: American Athletic Conference Tournament Semifinals - Cincinnati vs Houston

Wes Miller and the Cincinnati Bearcats just landed a big player in the transfer portal with sophomore guard Simas Lukosius.

Lukosius is a big-bodied wing, standing in at 6-foot-7, and was one of the key members of the Butler Bulldogs last year. He entered the transfer portal after his sophomore season where he averaged 11.6 PPG, 4.0 RPG, and 2.9 APG on 42.6% shooting.

The Bearcats landed Lukosius over two fellow Big 12 Conference members, one of those Oklahoma State, and BYU. Lukosius spoke about his decision to ESPN, saying, “I think Cincinnati is a great fit for my play style and my personality. I am excited to play for Coach Wes Miller and really believe we can achieve special things together.”

Lukosius is the third addition for the Bearcats this offseason, joining following Temple transfer Jamille Reynolds and Kentucky transfer CJ Fredrick. Lukosius joins the bunch as a young addition with major upside that should boost Wes Miller and co. in their first season in the Big 12 Conference.
